Vassar College Traditional Music, usually called VC Trad or simply Trad, is an org dedicated to sharing traditional music. Every week they host an open session that any community member may attend to learn pieces. They play music from various traditions, including Irish, American Oldtime, Scandinavian and Scottish.[1] Trad frequently plays at concerts and events on campus.
History
VC Trad was founded in Fall 2019 by Malcolm Callagy '20.[2] It was certified as a pre-org with the VSA until 2021 before becoming unofficial. In 2023, it was again registered as a pre-org and a full org in 2025.[2]
