'''The Chapel''' was built in 1904 to house religious services. Prior to this, there had been a Chapel on the third and fourth floors of [[Main House|Main Building]]. Following the construction of the current Chapel, that space was converted into Assembly Hall.

In modern times the Chapel is no longer used as a religious space. Convocation, admitted students day and various student performances occur here. The basement has storage spaces used by the Vassar College Choir and Drama Department.
