Guidelines are records of best practices in content and behavior. While there is no need to be an expert on guidelines when starting out, contributors should generally defer to and attempt to follow them. They should not be confused for policies.

Style

Page titles

Page titles should generally not include "Vassar"—given that the page is on VassarWiki, that much is implied. The exception is when "Vassar" is an essential part of the subject's name; for example, there's no need to shorten "Vassar College Entertainment" to just "Entertainment".
