NSO
The NSO (No Such Organization, formerly Nonhuman Students Organization) is Vassar's gaming org; they sponsor board-, card- and video-game based events as well as Trivia Nights, Casino Nights, and perhaps most famously Vassar's shadowcast of Rocky Horror.
History
The NSO was founded under the name Nonhuman Students Organization, allegedly named in reference to an oddly-worded clause of the VSA constitution.[1] It was initially primarily a media-lending organization with a focus on genre media.
The NSO's first annual Rocky Horror shadowcast was in 1995.
Until 2019, the NSO ran a convention, known as No Such Con or Non-Con.[2] A combination of logistical issues and the COVID-19 pandemic led to an end to the event.
